I was browsing another automotive forum and caught this tidbit: "As of September 2005, Texas no longer requires a front plate on private vehicles; the law was amended to reduce the number of plates to be manufactured, yeah right. Ultimately I don't care what the reason is, I'm just glad to see them go." Has anyone heard of this? Can anyone verify if this is true or false? I can't find any documentation of it on the TxDOT website nor through a couple quick google searches. I know lots of guys around here don't have front plates on their Z's anyhow, but it'd be nice to find out that they now have the legal right to not use a front plate.
